Adult Workout Classes offered at Bravo
Cardio Barré 
Time: 1 hour
The low-impact workout focuses on proper alignment. A blend of strength training, flexibility, balance and core conditioning in a total body workout that targets the back, hips, glutes, abs, and arms. The ballet barré exercises lengthen and strengthen muscles and burn calories. Want a dancer body? Ballet is the way! 
Attire: Socks or Ballet Shoes, Workout Wear
Plank-It
Time: 1/2 hour
Half Hour of plank routines, one of the best exercises for a flat, toned stomach! Works all the muscles in your core, including the rectus abdominis (the "six-pack muscles"), transverse abdominis, internal and external obliques, hips, and back, not to mention your arms! 
Attire: Socks & Workout Wear
Optional Equipment: Yoga Mat (you provide yourself)
Aerial Silk Hammock Fitness
Time: 1 hour
This is full body fitness at its finest! Increase your cardio and muscular capacity by using our aerial silk hammocks. Strengthen your center with no impact, isometric cardio conditioning. Aerial Fitness is a combination of resistant exercises, bodyweight training and traditional yoga stretches using a soft fabric hammock suspended at waist height.
Attire Required: Socks, Workout Pants below the knee, Top that covers the armpits.
NOT Permitted: Jewelry, Zippers, Snaps, Buttons, Shirts with jewels or glitter, Perfume 
Aerial Silk Sling Yoga
Time: 1 hour
The word ‘aerial’ may seem daunting but aerial yoga is a very accessible form of exercise that could help you lengthen your spine as well as help you achieve near perfect alignment while doing your poses. Aerial yoga combines traditional yoga poses, Pilates, and dance with the use of a soft fabric hammock suspended at waist height. Build strength, flexibility and mobility through reverse traction.
Attire Required: Socks, Workout Pants below the knee, Top that covers the armpits.
NOT Permitted: Jewelry, Zippers, Snaps, Buttons, Shirts with jewels or glitter, Perfume

PRE-DANCE ACRO (formerly Tiny Tumblerz)
Ages: 3 & 4 years old / Potty-Trained
Time: 45 minutes
This beginning tumbling class helps your child learn to follow directions, take turns, gain independence, have fun & make new friends. This class is beneficial to other physical activities like sports & dance. 
Skills learned: flexibility, balance, rolls, head stands, hand stands, cartwheels, round offs & jumps. 
Attire: Leotard, Bare Feet
Allowed: Leggings, Sweatshirt & Sweatpants (to warm up in)
Not Permitted: Skirts, Material w/ Glitter, Jewelry
INTRO TO DANCE
Ages: 4 to 6 years old 
Time: 1 hour = 30 minutes of Ballet / 30 minutes of Tap
This dance class is for female and male beginning level artists. Intro integrates kinesthetic learning with understanding. The children learn rhythm, Russian Ballet Barré, staging & routines.
Attire: Tights, Leotard, LEATHER Ballet Slippers, Tap Shoes
Allowed: Leggings, Leg Warmers, Sweatshirt (to warm up in) 
Not Permitted: Skirts, Material w/ Glitter, Jewelry

INTRO TO DANCE II
Ages: 6 & 7 years old & up 
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes = 30 minutes of Ballet / 30 minutes of Tap / 20 minutes of Jazz / 10 minutes of Tumbling
This dance class is for female and male beginning level artists with some experience in dance or tumbling. Intro II focuses on ballet technique, rhythm tap, beginning classic jazz & tumbling. The children learn Russian Ballet Barré, turns, leaps, combinations & quick study. Practice required.
Attire: Tights, Leotard, Leather Ballet Slippers, Tap Shoes
Allowed: Leggings, Leg Warmers, Sweatshirt (to warm up in)

INTRO TO AERIAL DANCE
Ages: 7 to 10
Bravo Arts Academy is the only dance studio in Michigan to offer aerial silk training. Aerial Dance is a subgenre of modern dance. If you have attended a Cirque du Soleil show, Disney World or a concert you have probably seen a form of aerial silk dancing. This relatively new art form integrates both the floor and air movement utilizing aerial silk slings. Our class focuses on the fluidity of movement and expression. We hold in-house performances two times per year. Children in this class must have at least one year of ballet training.
REQUIREMENTS: Student must be enrolled in ballet or jazz to be approved to enroll in this class.
Attire Required: Paws, fitted leggings below the knee, fitted top or leotard that covers the armpits
NOT Permitted: Jewelry, zippers, snaps, buttons, shirts with jewels or glitter, perfume
AERIAL DANCE I
Ages: 8 to 14
Students must have two years of ballet, jazz or gymnastic education and some aerial silk training to enroll in this class. Aerial Dance is a subgenre of modern dance. Musical Theatre I
​Ages: 5 to 8 years old
Time: 45 minutes
This class is for female and male beginning level artists. It is an introductory level to Musical Theatre. We study diction, rhythm, improve games, singing techinique and monologue memorization.
Musical Theatre II
Ages: 9 years old & up
Time: 45 minutes
Musical Theatre II is designed to develop comprehensive musical theatre skills including theatre dance, partnering, acting, character development and chorus singing. This class will be an excellent opportunity for students to prepare for school or community theatre auditions as well as developing confidence and stage presence in young dancers.
Ballet I
Ages: 8 years old & up
Time: 1 hour = 20 minutes Ballet Barré / 20 minutes across the floor / 20 minutes Adage

Russian & Cecchetti methods studied. Practice required.
Attire: Tights, Leotard, Leather Ballet Slippers
Allowed: Leggings, Leg Warmers

Ballet II
Ages: 10 years old & up
Time: 1 hour = 20 minutes Ballet Barré / 20 minutes across the floor / 20 minutes Adage
At least two years of ballet preferred. Russian & Cecchetti methods studied. Students will be required to participate in ballet term spelling tests. Practice required.
Attire: Tights, Leotard, Leather Ballet Slippers

BALLET III / POINTE

Ages: 12 years old & up

Time: 1 hour = 20 minutes Ballet Barré / 20 minutes across the floor / 20 minutes Adage

At least 3 years of ballet training. Russian & Cecchetti methods studied. Students are required to have proper posture and turn-out, a well-elevated releve on demi-pointe with straight knees, and correct distribution of body weight both on two legs and on one leg. Students also require the emotional and physical maturity level necessary for the commitment and physical demands that pointe entails. Pre-pointe students will execute all exercises on demi-pointe to strengthen calves, ankles, and arches and will learn how demi-pointe steps will be executed once on pointe. Beginner Pointe students will execute some exercises on demi-pointe and some on pointe, progressing to more exercises on pointe as their strength and technique improves. Exercises for all students will begin at the barre and progress to the centre to master balance and increase strength. ​

Attire: Tights, Leotard, Leather Ballet Shoes & Pointe Shoes
JAZZ I
Ages: 8 years old & up
Time: 1 hour = 20 minutes warm up, 15 minutes across the floor, 25 floor work/combinations
Some dance or gymnastic experience preferred. Subjects studied are Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Classic Jazz & Acro. Practice required.
Attire: Tights, Leotard, Jazz Shoes
Allowed: Leggings, Leg Warmers
Not Permitted: Baggy Clothing, Jewelry
JAZZ II
Ages: 10 years old & up
Time: 1 hour = 20 minutes warm up, 15 minutes across the floor, 25 combination/floor work
Students are required to have at least two years of dance training in order to enroll in this class. Subjects studied are Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Classic Jazz & Acro. Practice required.

Ages: 12 years old & up

Attire: Tap Shoes
TAP II
Ages: 10 years old & up
